ஜே.என்.யூவில் ஏற்படுத்தப் பட்ட கட்டுப்பாடும், அதனை எதிர்த்த இடதுசாரி கொஷ்டிகளும்: ஜே.என்.யூவில் பிப்ரவரியில் திடீரென்று ஆண்-பெண் மாணவர்கள் விசயங்களில் கட்டுப்பாடுகள் விதிக்கப்பட்டன.

என்று சுற்றறிக்கை வெளியிடப்பட்டது[1]. வழக்கம் போல அகில இந்திய மாணவர்கள் சங்கம் [All India Students Association (AISA], இந்திய மாணவர்கள் கூட்டமைப்பு [Students Federation of India (SFI)], சம-உரிமைகளுக்காக இளைஞர்கள் [Youth for Equality (YFE)] போன்றவை அத்தகைய “காப் பஞ்சாயத்து” எல்லாம் கொண்டு வரமுடியாது, அச்சுற்றறிக்கை வாபஸ் வாங்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்று கத்தி கலாட்டா செய்தனர்[2]. ஆனால், ஆபாச படம் எடுத்தது, சிடி போட்டது, விற்பனை செய்தது பற்றி கண்டுகொள்ளவில்லை[3]. என்.டி.டிவி போன்ற செனல்களும், “தி இந்து” போன்ற நாளிதழ்களும் செய்திகளை தினம்-தினம் வெளியிட்டு ஆர்பாட்டம் செய்யவில்லை. பல்கலைக்கழக மாணவ-மாணவிகள் புளூ-பிளிம், போர்னோகிராபி முதலியவற்றில் நடிக்க உரிமைகள் உண்டா-இல்லையா, அவற்றை அனுமதிக்கலாமா-கூடாதா, ஆபாச சிடிக்களை விற்கலாமா-கூடாதா போன்ற வாத-விவாதங்களுக்கு இடம் கொடுக்கவில்லை.

[3] Delhi’s prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University is in a state of shock after a CD with lewd images of one of its female students is doing the rounds. The CD was allegedly shot by some students from the School of Language Studies. The students initially tried to extort money from the girl in the video but when they failed the culprits put the video out on mobile phones, on the internet and even sold it as a CD in the blue film market. The victim has been sent home by the authorities and the police are investigating the case. They claim that the culprits have been identified though no arrests have been made so far. “The girl and her friend were intimately involved. Another boy allegedly shot the video. JNU is yet to verify this,” said HS Dhaliwal, DCP, South zone.

[5] A day after media reported that two former students of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) had shot a blue film inside a hostel, the university authorities have initiated an inquiry into the matter. “We will not tolerate such things inside the university complex. We already have initiated inquiry and have questioned a few persons in this connection,” said HB Bohidar, Chief Proctor of JNU. The move came after the Procter office received a complaint in this regard from the chief security officer of the university. The film was reportedly shot around six month ago by a couple of students of School of Languages. It is believed that the boy and the girl in the film, who are natives of Bihar, were provided with the equipment for shooting by a student of Computer Science. When other students of the university came to know about the incident, they bashed up the boy who had ‘acted’ in the film.

This act of university officials however came a bit late because by then the copies of the CD had already been taken out of the university. The CD has the girl watching a pornographic movie while indulging in the sexual acts that are getting recorded by a camera. Meanwhile, police said that the university authorities have not informed them about the matter. “We have not received any complaint either from the girl or university,” said DCP (South), HGS Dhaliwal. Police sources say that the blue film might have been made to earn money. “It is a possibility that the gangs who run pornography racket could be behind the incident as the picture quality of the movie is fine,” the sources added.
